The force behind the project: hangar-77 is a project comissioned by
Niel Pereira a long hauler in the IT industry with more than a decade of experience specializing in Web Design and Development and Brand design. Niel has been part of some of the most successful web design and development companies in Bombay, India... playing a directive and managerial role with all client projects and company undertakings. However as always it all started with the first steps way back in 1999. After graduating in Business Management in 1998, Niel pursued a Diploma in Digital Design and Animation.
The course covered a wide range of fields, Niel however chose to build a career in web design due to his profound interest in the Information Technology platform and the power of the internet... not to mention his applicable skills for designing!
Niel Started his career in 1999 with a company named Aryan Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (A 100% EOU Company), working as a junior web designer, but his talent for design, great communication and training skills did him deserved justice. Within a couple of years he made it to top level management and quite naturally became the indispensable one. Thereafter things only began to get better and bigger! Besides managing the projects and operations of the company, he also involved himself with almost every diversification and expansion project that the company undertook. Niel gained immense knowledge of the IT markets in the USA and Europe due to his personal interaction and involvement with every client that came by.
In 2004 he was called upon by the director to pioneer a process to sell websites through tele-marketing, in other words set up a full fledged call center to sell IT services of web design, hosting and domain registration to markets in the USA and Europe... Charged with the complete setup and execution of the project, Niel pro-actively involved himself in the technology aspects of the setup including the hardware and software required for an undertaking such as this. On the sales front Niel devised, implemented and tested various marketing angles using the live market as his laboratory. Prior to this he also strategically composed the company's service offerings into product forms that could be sold as a package through the tele-marketing effort. On the Human Resource front, Niel personally hand picked and trained the first batch of marketing agents on basic IT know how, and about selling through tele-marketing. Four months later, the whole project was revving to go. The very first weeks tasted really sweet success, but it was still not enough to settle with! Niel constantly implemented more stringent quality guidelines and kept experimenting on better methods to fine tune the whole process. The coming months saw huge improvements in processes and revenues for the company! All in all it had been one hell of a project that had been successfully pioneered to perfection.
Niel left Aryan infotech in 2007 to pursue a solo career in web design and development... He struck a full time collaboration with an old client-friend and IT veteran Jonathan King, Founder and President of Digital Marketing Specialists [DMS] of Wisconsin, USA. DMS is a high-end Network Marketing Software development company that has a client base comprising largely of Multi Level Marketing entities. Niel was engaged as a full time Creative Director & Project Manager for Digital Marketing Specialists executing Web, UI and Graphics Design (with a remote team spread over India and the USA) and client communications and Project Management.
A little more than a year later, the work influx from DMS began to get monotonous. It was no longer challenging to continue the engagement. So after some discussions and a few questions answered, Niel decided to call it quits with DMS. Around the time the DMS chapter was coming to a close, Niel had initiated talks with one of Bombay's Leading Digital Agencies BC Web Wise, for a Position of a General Manager. Niel found this highly creative firm a perfect fit for his management skills collected over the years. It was in August of 2008 that Niel took up position as General Manager at BC Web Wise... In June 2009 Niel was promoted to Vice President in Project Managment & Client Sevicing.
